Crider Health Center Moving Forward on Warrenton Expansion

H.B.D. Construction, Inc. Hired as General Contractor

Warrenton, Mo. – Crider Health Center, currently located at 1428 North Highway 47 in Warrenton is proud to announce that H.B.D. Construction, Inc. will serve as the General Contractor on its new facility being constructed at the corner of Hwy 47 and Brune Parkway in Warrenton.  The new 15,000 square foot clinic will offer primary medical and behavioral health care, as well as dental services.  Recognizing the growing need for affordable, quality health care, Crider Health Center will offer a wide range of integrated services all under one roof.

“Increasing numbers of individuals are finding themselves without employment or quality health care,” explains Karl Wilson, Ph.D., Crider Health Center President and CEO.  “Offering integrated health care will allow residents of Warren County to receive affordable, quality healthcare in a warm and welcoming health care home.”

The decision to hire H.B.D. Construction, Inc. as the general contractor was based on their extensive knowledge of Crider Health Center’s industry needs and expectations for superior craftsmanship.  Having served as the general contractor on the recent 45,000 square foot expansion in Wentzville, Mo., H.B.D. Construction, Inc. is ready to take health care in Warren County to a whole new level.

Construction, Inc.  “The estimated completion date for this 15,000 square foot building is the first quarter of 2012.  H.B.D. has partnered with Chiodini Associates and Laura Neri Baebler Architects & Associates for the design of this exciting addition to the Warrenton community.  This is H.B.D.’s first project in Warrenton since completing the Warrenton Outlet Center in 1995.”


Crider Health Center’s Junior Board Hosts Mouse Races

$4,330 Raised to Fund Crider Health Center’s Community-Based Programs

Wentzville, MO – On January 28, 2010, Crider Health Center’s Junior Board of Directors hosted their first Mouse Races event to raise funds to support Crider Health Center’s community-based programs.  The event, held at Hope Lutheran Church in St. Charles, hosted over 120 guests and raised $4,330 in donations through ticket sales, mouse races, raffles, and a silent auction.  The mouse races and the evening’s entertainment were provided by Gateway Downs Entertainment.

“The Junior Board is very pleased with the amount of support we received from those who participated in the Mouse Races”, said Christine Petty, President of Crider Health Center’s Junior Board.  “The event was fast-paced, exciting, energetic and fun for everyone.”

Missouri Legislators to Present Awards at National Health Center Week Event

Wentzville, MO- Crider Health Center and Molina Healthcare will celebrate National Health Center Week by hosting a Back-to-School event for area families.  During the event Representative Anne Zerr and Wentzville Mayor Lambi will present awards to patients, doctors and volunteers of Crider Health Center.  The awards will honor the achievements of local citizens who have made inspiring accomplishments to the health care of others.  Also speaking will be Crider Health Center’s CEO, Dr. Karl Wilson and the Director of Behavioral Health, Dr. Byrd.  Both will speak on Crider’s integrated model of health care and present the new Wentzville health center that will open in September of this year.

Families are invited to participate in cooking and fitness demonstrations, face painting, and sand art.  They will also have the opportunity to meet Crider’s new pediatrician and sign up for free school check-ups.  Free giveaways at the event include backpacks with school supplies to the first 100 children grades K-12, children’s and adult bikes, ice-cream, hot dogs and water.

Crider Health Center Foundation’s Charity Golf Event to Fund Vital Community Health Programs for Medically Underserved

ST. CHARLES, MO - Crider Health Center Foundation’s 5th Annual Golf Tournament, scheduled for August 23, 2010 at Bogey Hills Country Club, will benefit vital community health programs that serve the primary, dental and mental health needs of economically disadvantaged children and adults.

 Over the last four years the event has raised more than $75,000 to fund and develop health services for those who have little to no health insurance in the St Charles, Franklin, Lincoln and Warren counties.  

 “By supporting the tournament our sponsors are helping the growing number of individuals who can not afford to receive the medical attention they need,” said Bill Zywiciel, President of STL Financial and Chairman of the Golf Tournament.  “We are grateful for all the support of our sponsors, volunteers and teams who help make this event a success.”

 The 4-person scramble competition style tournament kicks off with lunch and a chance to win a car.  Cost is $125 per person or $500 per team.  Registration includes 18 holes of golf, beverages and alcohol on the course, lunch, dinner and participation in several contests, a live auction and raffle.

Crider Health Center Joins Local Organizations to Help Needy Kids in Back to School Season

Organizations Join Forces to Provide Needy Kids with Health Screenings, School Check-Ups and Backpacks Full of School Supplies

2nd Annual Back to School Health Fair

WENTZVILLE, MO - Crider Health Center, the Salvation Army, Calvary Church West, NECAC, Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield and other local organizations will again join forces to put on the 2nd Annual Back to School Health Fair Friday, July 23, 2010, 10 am – 1 pm at Calvary Church West to benefit the under resourced families in Lincoln County. 

 Last year, over 1,000 attended this free event and 500 children received backpacks full of school supplies. Families also received health screenings, school check-ups, lunch, face paintings, and free hair-cuts. 

 This year’s event features free school check-ups and health screenings by Crider Health Center including dental, vision and lead.  600 backpacks with school supplies will be handed out on a first come, first serve basis to children grades K-12.  Families can also enjoy refreshments, children’s activity booths, a bounce house, a visit from the Rascals Mascot and free hair-cuts.  Health plan information and information on area health services will be distributed to all attendees.

  “We understand that many families struggle to provide even the most basic needs, especially around the back to school season,” said Steve Martinez, VP of Development at Crider Health Center. “We are very excited to have gained participation from so many of our community partners to make this event possible a second year.”
